"A Father's Legacy"

WHAT MISCHIEVOUS PRANK DID YOU PULL ON SOMEONE?  HOW DID IT AFFECT YOU?
When we were out playing at night we would ring doorbells and knock on doors and run and hide.  Al and Erma Brown had a bell that you had to pull to ring which made it perfect for tying a long bailing twine to then we would string it over to the ditch across the road and pull it.  They would usually open the door and take it off.  Fun over.  They also had a pay phone booth next to their house that you cranked to get an operator.  We would ask her her name and ask her for a date and things like what kind of boys do you like.  She would say I don't like boys I like men. End of fun.  We liked teasing Smith Hatch.  He was the town Marshall.  We would go into the old creamery where there were bins of corn and fill our pockets then we would go to the marshals house Smith Hatch and throw corn at his windows until he chased us.
