"A Father's Legacy"

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR MOTHER'S COOKING.  CAN YOU RECALL YOUR FAVORITE MEAL?  WHAT MADE IT YOUR FAVORITE?
Mom was a great cook and could make a meal out of anything.  We raised a lot of chickens milk cows and grew a lot of potatoes so she learned to make things out of milk and potatoes lots of potatoes and gravy.  I loved her mashed potatoes and brown gravy.  One time I went to Maple Dell with the scouts our scout master had us bring things like chilly chicken and I don't remember what else.  We ate the canned foot first and let the chickens go.  Our Ice melted and the chicken got smelling so no one wanted to eat it by the time we got home I was very hungry for some good food.  mom and Dad were camped at Fish Lake.  I somehow got a ride up there and the first thing I did was ask mom if she would make me a pork roast and potatoes and brown gravy.  when we got home she did and that was the best meal of my life to that point.  Mom made the best bread and it was always a treat when she did because she would make biscuits and fry flap jacks like scones but big and fried in a pan with little oil.
