"A Father's Legacy"

WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE TEACHER?  HOW DID THAT TEACHER INFLUENCE YOUR LIFE?
My favorite teacher was Della Bagley, Mom's aunt.  She taught me 3rd & 4th grades.  She taught me to love reading.  And probably had more influence on me to go into teaching as a profession than anyone else.  I couldn't imagine being a teacher but after taking classes for civil engineering I changed to political science-- why!  I don't know, but that lasted only one semester then I changed to accounting but I don't think that even lasted a semester then changed to psychology.  I liked that and stuck with it.  I don't know why before I graduated I began to wonder what do you do with psychology?  Go on to become a psychiatrist or teach it.  I applied for a teacher in Heber City so we drove up.  They hired me on the spot so we moved to Heber.  I taught there at the Jr High and drove down to BYU and finished my masters.  In 1971 Wayne was born.  Then in 1977 I started having seizures at night so I quit teaching and we moved to Koosharem then we went down to California to look for a job.  We lived with June and Chad and checked all the districts but no luck.  Then we decided to move home we stopped in Cedar and while on the CSU campus I ran into Garth Bagley he was my bishop in Koosharem.  He was attending a workshop for teachers in Special Ed and he convinced me to take the classes after finishing I decided to go to BYU for a masters. This is when that above happened in 1978 I started teaching at Salina Elementary it was a good [He didn't finish this one and I'm a little confused on the order of events.]
